2. Moringa Soup

Ingredients

  • Moringa Leaf Powder – 1 tbsp
  • Water – 500 ml
  • Onion – 50 g, finely chopped
  • Garlic – 3 cloves, crushed
  • Pepper powder – ½ tsp
  • Salt – to taste

Method

  1. Sauté onion and garlic until soft.
  2. Add water and bring to a boil.
  3. Stir in moringa powder.
  4. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Add pepper and salt.
  6. Serve hot.

3. Moringa Dosa

Ingredients

  • Dosa batter – 2 cups
  • Moringa Leaf Powder – 2 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds – ½ tsp

Method

  1. Mix moringa powder and cumin into the batter.
  2. Rest for 10 minutes.
  3. Prepare dosas on a hot tawa.
  4. Serve with chutney or sambar.

4. Moringa Chapati/Roti

Ingredients

  • Whole wheat flour – 1 cup
  • Moringa Leaf Powder – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – ¼ tsp
  • Water – as needed

Method

  1. Mix flour, moringa powder, and salt.
  2. Knead into a soft dough.
  3. Rest for 15 minutes.
  4. Roll and cook on a tawa.

5. Moringa Idli

Ingredients

  • Idli batter – 2 cups
  • Moringa Leaf Powder – 1 tbsp

Method

  1. Mix moringa powder into the batter.
  2. Pour into idli moulds.
  3. Steam for 10–12 minutes.
  4. Serve hot.

6. Moringa Rice

Ingredients

  • Cooked rice – 2 cups
  • Moringa Leaf Powder – 1 tbsp
  • Ghee – 1 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
  • Curry leaves – few
  • Salt – to taste

Method

  1. Heat ghee and splutter mustard seeds.
  2. Add curry leaves.
  3. Mix in moringa powder and sauté briefly.
  4. Add cooked rice and salt.
  5. Toss well and serve.

7. Moringa Millet Porridge

Ingredients

  • Millet flour – 50 g
  • Moringa Leaf Powder – 1 tsp
  • Water – 300 ml
  • Palm jaggery – 20 g

Method

  1. Mix millet flour with water.
  2. Cook until thick.
  3. Add moringa powder and palm jaggery.
  4. Simmer for 2 minutes and serve.

8. Moringa Chutney

Ingredients

  • Coconut – ½ cup
  • Moringa Leaf Powder – 1 tbsp
  • Green chilli – 1
  • Roasted gram – 2 tbsp
  • Salt – to taste

Method

  1. Grind all ingredients with a little water.
  2. Temper with mustard seeds if desired.
  3. Serve with idli, dosa, or chapati.

9. Moringa Smoothie

Ingredients

  • Banana – 1
  • Milk – 250 ml
  • Moringa Leaf Powder – 1 tsp
  • Honey – 1 tsp

Method

  1. Blend all ingredients until smooth.
  2. Serve chilled.
